Based in Boston, our reach extends globally, with projects spanning Mexico, Haiti, and Somalia, reflecting our dedication to impactful design on a global scale.

 

Our services include master planning, historic design restoration, site-specific planting, ecological sustainability, permitting, project management and general contracting for landscape construction for residential, corporate and institutional clients.

 

BP Design has been certified as a Woman Business Enterprise and a Minority Business Enterprise by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Supplier Diversity Office.

BP Design is led by Bertha Pantoja. Pantoja is a Massachusetts-registered landscape architect with design expertise gained over 20 years of project-based and teaching experience in Greater Boston and Mexico. Most of her work is residential, but she is committed to working with underserved communities and nonprofit organizations.

Bertha Pantoja – Founder BP Design

Before founding BP Design in 2014, Pantoja designed with Child Associates, CBA Landscape Architects, and Bellalta 3 Design to complete projects for educational and governmental agencies. Bertha has been an Adjunct Professor at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, and the Centro Metropolitano de Arquitectura Sustentable in Mexico. 

Presently, she is teaching undergraduate and graduate Studio and Landscape Technology courses at the Boston Architectural College, where she’s been an adjunct professor since 2011. She also exhibits her photography at multiple studios and galleries in the Boston area and is most recognized for her work with aerial and landscape photography. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new places, hiking the great outdoors, painting with watercolors, and reading a historical book.

Pantoja holds a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University’s School of Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from UNAM, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
